Day 2: Colonial Havana and the 50s

In the morning, a friendly guide will pick you up and take you to the Vedado district, where you can pick out a colorful "shopper e-bike". You'll get to explore the elegant residential district of Vedado with its diverse architecture and the lively old town of Centro Habana and Habana Vieja. You'll see the birthplace of the poet and national hero José Martí, the fortresses "El Morro", "La Punta" and "La Cabaña", and learn all about Havana's fascinating history. Then, the tour will take you to the Revolutionary Museum, where you'll hear the incredible story of the young revolutionaries who tried to storm the presidential palace.

The yacht "Granma" is nearby. Along the way, you can enjoy a cocktail at Hemingway's "Bodeguita" or on the roof terrace of Hotel Ambos Mundos, where he wrote his novel "For Whom the Bell Tolls". The tour then continues along the Malecón, Havana's famous waterfront promenade, back to Vedado.

Lunch in one of the famous restaurants, e.g. in paladar "El de Frente”. 

Get ready for a delightful afternoon drive in a vintage American car along the Malecon and the stunning 5th Avenue to the Miramar residential and diplomatic quarter. You'll be able to admire the impressive mansions along the way. 

We'll stop for a drink in the beautiful garden of the famous Hotel Nacional and chat about the Mafia and other celebrities from the 1950s. 

OPTIONAL in the evening: picnic, chill & slakeline with the locals on the beach “La Puntilla” or “La Concha”

First, we head to the promenade on the coast of 70th Street, where one of Havana's most famous surfing spots is located. One bar follows the next, giving you an insight into Cuban nightlife. Here, you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy a cocktail before continuing on to one of the Cubans' favorite beaches, La Puntilla or La Concha. Here, you can try your hand at slacklining with the locals, enjoy one of Havana's magnificent sunsets, and have a picnic.

Day 3: Havana's suburbs

Depending on your preferences and the weather, you can choose between different activities.

Option A)

If you're up for some mountain biking fun, head to the villages between Havana and Jaruco. You'll discover awesome MTB trails winding through forests and meadows. As you ride, soak in the charm of rural life in Cuba and stumble upon beautiful spots and hidden lakes to cool off after a muddy MTB adventure.

Option B) 

Are you a fan of water activities? If so, you have some fantastic options today! You can dive in Santa Fe, learn to windsurf at La Concha beach, or try kitesurfing in the beautiful sandy beaches of Guanabo.

Option C)

Drive to Playa Jibacoa beach on the north coast, about 2 hours from Havana. There, you will find a well-developed climbing sector with a view of the sea. This sector offers a range of routes suitable for climbers of all levels, from easy beginner routes to challenging ones for advanced climbers. After climbing, you can relax on the beach or explore the surrounding reefs while snorkeling.

In favorable wind conditions, you can enjoy a tandem flight over Canasi, with the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the north coast of Cuba from above, followed by a beach stay.

In the late evening drive to Nuevo Vedado and a visit to the “Ocho25” workshop run by young Cuban skaters who recycle old skateboards to make unique jewelry. You will learn more about the history of skateboarding in Cuba and, if time permits, you will then head to Ciudad Libertad, a former military area where the skaters of Havana have built a DIY park in an old hall.

Dinner in one of the currently popular paladares, e.g. “El Cocinero”. Afterwards, you can visit an event or the galleries, cinemas and concert halls of the famous Fabrica del Arte, which will give you an insight into the new Cuba. A mixture of gallery, bar, club and live music venue, strongly reminiscent of Berlin or New York.

Day 4: Havanna - SOROA - VIÑALES

After checking out in the morning, you can head to the city beach, Playa La Concha, where you can have a go at stand-up paddleboarding or snorkeling. Then, continue your journey to Soroa in western Cuba. Take a short walk through the forest and cool off at a beautiful waterfall. 

Lunch at a local paladar and continue on the tobacco route towards the province of Pinar del Rio. Panoramic tour through the breathtaking Mogote Valley with its imposing conical cliffs and the picturesque village of Viñales. This little corner of the world makes every outdoor enthusiast's heart beat faster.

Day 5: Viñales

Get ready for an amazing adventure! You'll be picked up at your place before dawn and taken to the Mogote of the "Acuaticos". It's a mountain where a few people have made their home for many years. With headlamps on, you'll hike up the mountain, soaking in the sounds of the night mixing with the birdsong of the morning as it slowly gets brighter in the valley. Once you reach the top of the "Acuaticos", you'll witness the most breathtaking sunrise over the palm-covered valley. Don't forget to take plenty of photos while sipping on a strong Cuban coffee. After that, we'll head back down and enjoy a delicious breakfast at the casa.

Afterwards you have some free time to explore Vinales on your own.

Get ready for a delightful afternoon stroll through the valley to the "Raul Reyes" finca and the famous climbing cave "Cueva de la Vaca". You'll climb about 100 steps to reach the cave, which is a popular spot for local climbers. Once you're at the top, you'll be treated to a stunning view of the valley. Inside the cave, you'll find countless bats, adding to the excitement. After exploring the cave, you can try your hand at climbing or experience a thrilling pendulum flight over the valley.

Tag 6: Viñales - PUERTO eSPERANZA

After a delicious breakfast, you have some fantastic options for your morning adventure. You can either go for a lovely hike or enjoy a mountain bike tour through the scenic valley. One of the highlights is Valle de Silencio, located on Lago El Silencio, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of a mini mogote. During your journey through the valley, you'll have the chance to visit a friendly tobacco farmer on his farm and get a glimpse into the life of the “campesinos”. Don't forget to take a break at the Finca Agroecologica to savor the stunning valley view while sipping on a refreshing “anti-stress” cocktail.

The journey will take you to the coast, to the serene fishing village of Puerto Esperanza. There are plans for a small port for cruise ships in this area, surrounded by picturesque cayos. Your destination today is the municipality of El Rosario, just outside Puerto Esperanza. This original community was founded around 60 years ago after the Cuban Revolution and has maintained its authentic charm to this day.

After diving into local life, you'll get to savor lunch at Casa Prima, a lovely eco-hostel nestled by a small freshwater lake. This special spot was crafted by two Swiss individuals who designed the garden based on the principles of permaculture.

Day 7: El Rosario & Cayo Levisa

In the morning, you can stand up paddle in the nearby lake. Then pack up your swimming gear.

Get ready for an amazing adventure from El Rosario to Cayo Jutias! You're in for a day you'll never forget in this paradise. After a thrilling drive, you'll arrive at this dreamy place known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and sparkling turquoise waters.

When you arrive, why not spend the day snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters? You'll find colorful fish and starfish just waiting to be discovered. After a refreshing swim, you can kick back on the beach, soak up the sun, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
